Welcome to the new Chester Comix website!
It will be much more interactive than the previous version, with photos, fun stuff, new teachers guide material and a weekly blog posting from me about the latest in history and graphic novels. It’s an exciting time for this unique American art form, and I’ll share each new step of the way with you! For example, I’m looking forward to being at the Ohio State University’s Festival of Cartoon Art in October for a three-day discussion of graphic novels and nonfiction storytelling. Ohio State has one of the biggest collections of cartoon originals in the United States and hosts an academic conference every three years. I last went in 2001, just weeks after 9/11. It was a powerful session for reaffirming American values and an American art form.I’ll let you all know what happens at this one! In the meantime, keep checking back here for the latest updates on my work and the way comix can boost literacy and test scores — I’ll soon have charts showing how my books meet each state’s social studies standards!
Have fun reading!
Bentley

Hey Bentley! I love it! (but then what did you expect. Ha! 0 Specifically I love the clean look. Your drawing just gets better and better! love, Dad
Hey Bentley! The new site looks awesome! The boys are doing your mazes right now. I’ll have to order some of your comix soon for them to enjoy too. Ginny
Keep up the good work. Dear Mr. Boyd: Keep up the good work. You are a definite plus for teachers and students. Dr. Mazz
Bentley,
What a wonderful way to make learning about history fun for all ages.
Keep up the great work!
Nancy
Bentley Boyd is perhaps the most important figure in American history — ever. Taller than John Adams, funnier than Abraham Lincoln and more enthusiastic than George Washington, Boyd lays a serious smackdown on the historically uninformed.
This website has many excellent features. I suggest adding a clear way to get to “home” from anywhere on the site as well as a search function, which can be had for free from Google and other sources.
Your drawing and writing get better and better, Mr. Boyd. Perhaps because you are getting older and older!
Teachers who embrace your work should see remarkable results!
So, I haven’t spent much time on the revamped website yet, but it looks good so far.
Bentley,
Glad to see that you’re still going strong with what I’ve always thought was a fantastic resource for teachers and parents. Keep up the GREAT work and conitue to smile!
Let’s get together sometime and get caught up!
Bentley- the site looks great! Congrats on the new launch, and here’s to many more years of Chester success!!
We might have a problem if anybody (or any Boyd for that matter)can leave a comment on the blog.
It’s wonderful, Bentley! You’ve included everything from teacher links & tools to the fun extras for the kids. Lots of nice touches and easy to navigate. I second the suggestion for a search function and home link, and I hope that more & more schools will take advantage of an author visit. At Thomas Jefferson Elementary School last spring, you touched and inspired the students in many ways.
Great website! As always, Chester comes with great content and appealing style. One problem: you didn’t publish solutions to the Crabmazes! Help — I’m lost somewhere in Nicaragua!
Wonderful eye-catching layout for the webpage, this new webpage has broight tears to my eyes…no wait, that was the onion I was cutting for lunch. The self portrait with the chester on your head is my favorite, no, yes that’s my favorite. When’s the next time we can all just sit down and discuss the Theory of Punctuated Equilibria?
Hi, Bentley! The new site looks good. My oldest, now
in first grade, brings home three history books each
week from the school library for me to read to him.
I can hardly wait until he’s ready to read Chester
for himself. I know he’s going to love it.
